INTRODUCTION TO MOS 2019 CERTIFICATION

I. What is the MOS Certificate?

The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certificate is an internationally recognized credential that assesses your proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
 
Available in multiple versions (2016, 2019, Microsoft 365 Apps), MOS offers exams in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access at different levels. Millions of tests are conducted annually in more than 150 countries, including the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, and Vietnam.

II. Benefits of Holding a MOS Certificate

III. MOS 2019 Certification Levels

  • Specialist: Certifies foundational skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Once you pass 3 of 4 exams, you earn an additional Microsoft Office Specialist Associate certificate.
  • Expert: Certifies advanced skills in Word Expert, Excel Expert, Access Expert.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Expert: Earned by holding the Associate certificate and any 2 Expert-level exams. Replaces the former "Master" level.

Note: Multi-Project format simulates real office environments. Each exam includes 5–7 projects, each with 4–7 tasks.

V. Official Training Programs

To support students and learners in preparing for the MOS 2019 exams, CAIT offers:
  • Official MOS exam fee: 850,000 VND per exam
  • In-person exam preparation course: 350,000 VND per subject
  • Simulation-based self-study package: 350,000 VND per subject (includes access to online practice software)
Courses follow the official structure recognized by IIG Vietnam – Certiport's exclusive partner in Vietnam.
